Things have been a lot different this year, but you’ve still had another year in business to learn, plan, pivot, and prepare for better days to come.
There’s still a lot to shout about.
How has the year been for your business? Despite everything, do you still have big news to share?
What have you learnt? How have you adapted?
What are your plans for 2021? What exciting things do your customers need to know about?
When times are tough, smart companies do more marketing not less.
It’s important to tell the world your plans and how what you do benefits your target audience, especially as we come to the end of a challenging 12 months.
That’s why I’m offering a significant discount on in-depth articles to give you 700+ words of content in the form of a year in review piece, for just £50!
And you will have more to say than you think.
From mid-December I usually do 3 things…
The 3 R’s
Reflection – what’s worked well? What hasn’t?
Recognition – have we achieved our goals, or even exceeded them? At Pearson Brown we heartily celebrate our wins and learn from our losses.
Recalibration – new year, new start. It’s been a tough year, so this is perhaps more important than normal – using the festive period to get ready for new beginnings. Plans will have had to change; strategies kept fluid. Now is the time to re-target, re-plan, re-focus, and go again in 2021.
This process will be different this year. Normally it’s fast-paced in life and business so I do my 3r’s during the quieter Christmas period when I can see the wood for the trees. This year I’m probably not alone in saying that this process has been pretty constant, not a one-time thing.
We’ve had no choice but to constantly adapt and understand exactly where our businesses are. Challenges have changed monthly, and everything has been far less predictable.
Do this yourself
The reason I’m sharing this is not just because it may help you do something similar to prepare for the next leg of your journey, but because it will give you plenty of ideas for what to share in your year in review article.
Revisit the questions I posed at the start of this piece. Go through the 3 r’s earlier than I will and tell me what you found out about your business and what your plans are.
Then we can work together on your year in review article and tell your customers how great you are and why you’re the supplier of choice for 2021.
